Cruz Roja Panameña.
En los últimos 160 años, madres voluntarias y trabajadoras son el activo del Movimiento Internacional de la Cruz Roja y la Media Luna Roja con su diligente compromiso y pasión por servir a la humanidad. Estas voluntarias y trabajadoras son las primeras en entrar y las últimas en salir de las comunidades afectadas por los conflictos armados, otras situaciones de violencia y crisis. Ellas trabajan estrechamente con estas comunidades afectadas para abordar sus necesidades, utilizando su experiencia para responder ante estas últimas, rápida y eficazmente, bajo los principios de humanidad, imparcialidad y neutralidad.
Over the last 160 years, mothers’ volunteers and workers are the asset of the Red Cross and Red Crescent International Movement with their diligent pledge and passion to serve humanity. These volunteers and workers are the first to enter and the last to leave affected communities by armed conflict, other situations of violence and crisis. They work closely with these affected communities to meet their needs, using their expertise to respond to the latter, quickly and effectively, under the principles of humanity, impartiality and neutrality.

Soy hija, madre, hermana de 8 jóvenes y niños, tengo una bebé de un año y una hermanita de 4 años especial para nosotros porque fue operada del corazón, tuvo problemas al nacer. Soy como ese apoyo para mi mamá. Llevo 14 años en la institución de la Cruz Roja, siempre fue mi sueño, pero por ser tan pequeña en las brigadas escolares no me escogían hasta que conocí a la presidenta del comité y me dio una oportunidad y siento que he llegado muy lejos en la institución.
Es algo muy hermoso pertenecer a la Cruz Roja, no solo porque aprendes sino porque ayudas a las personas más necesitadas y no necesitas una recompensa monetaria, con un simple “gracias” es suficiente y Cruz Roja para mí es todo, todo, todo. Es mi vida, mi mundo.
Ya cuando se es madre se quiere dar todo el tiempo a su hijo y ese ha sido mi mayor limitante, trato de sacar el tiempo o incluso llevarme a mi bebé a la Cruz Roja para que esté conmigo y yo pueda trabajar en la institución.
