Objetivo / Objective
La exhibición busca reflejar 4 temáticas principales: Madres en contextos de detención y migración (como resultado de situaciones de conflicto armado y otras situaciones de violencia), y como primeras respondientes desde las comunidades de acogida que acogen a los migrantes a lo largo de las rutas migratorias, así como también desde el Movimiento Internacional de la Cruz Roja.
The exhibition aims at reflecting 4 main themes: Mothers in contexts of detention and migration (as a result of an armed conflict and other situations of violence), and as first responders from the host communities that receive migrants along the migratory routes as well as from the RC&RC International Movement.
Madres migrantes / Mothers migrants
Las necesidades de protección de madres migrantes deben ser abordadas sin discriminación. Éstas deben ser protegidas contra cualquier forma de explotación, agresión o violencia sexual a lo largo de las rutas migratorias.
Mothers migrants protection needs must be met without discrimination. They must be protected from any form of exploitation, aggression, or sexual violence along the migratory routes.
Madres privadas de libertad / Mothers deprived of their liberty
Las madres privadas de libertad deben recibir un trato humano, con respecto y dignidad. Se debe asegurar éstas tengan acceso a los servicios básicos de acuerdo con sus necesidades, sin discriminación.
Mothers deprived of their liberty must be treated humanely, with respect and dignity. They shall have access to basic services according to their needs without discrimination.
Madres en comunidades de acogida a lo largo de las rutas migratorias / Mothers in host communities along the migratory routes
Madres en las comunidades de acogida a lo largo de las rutas migratorias requieren de apoyo también. Sus comunidades enfrentan sus propios desafíos y, al mismo tiempo, la mayoría de las veces son requeridas de proveer apoyo inmediato a los migrantes.
Mothers in host communities along the migratory routes require support as well. Their communities face their own challenges and, at the same time, are required most of the time to provide immediate support to migrants.
Madres como socorristas del Movimiento Internacional de la Cruz Roja y la Media Luna Roja / Mothers as first responders from the Red Cross & Red Crescent International Movement
En los últimos 160 años, madres voluntarias y trabajadoras son el activo del Movimiento Internacional de la Cruz Roja y la Media Luna Roja con su diligente compromiso y pasión por servir a la humanidad. Estas voluntarias y trabajadoras son las primeras en entrar y las últimas en salir de las comunidades afectadas por los conflictos armados, otras situaciones de violencia y crisis. Ellas trabajan estrechamente con estas comunidades afectadas para abordar sus necesidades, utilizando su experiencia para responder ante estas últimas, rápida y eficazmente, bajo los principios de humanidad, imparcialidad y neutralidad.
Over the last 160 years, mothers’ volunteers and workers are the asset of the Red Cross and Red Crescent International Movement with their diligent pledge and passion to serve humanity. These volunteers and workers are the first to enter and the last to leave affected communities by armed conflict, other situations of violence and crisis. They work closely with these affected communities to meet their needs, using their expertise to respond to the latter, quickly and effectively, under the principles of humanity, impartiality and neutrality.
